We appreciate working with a large list of publishers, looking for books which are well written and will appeal to the readers of CLJ. Please note these guidelines to help you work with us to the benefit of all. Publishers are invited to send advance or finished copies of their new titles to CLJ, keeping in mind that we are looking for good literature in all subject areas, especially for children and teens. We also welcome email marketing announcements of new titles, preferring those over publisher catalogs. Review CopiesIf we wish to review a title, we will request a finished copy from the publisher for our office, as well as a finished copy for our reviewer. We prefer not to have publicists contact us regarding whether or not we will review a title, since the editor is the only person in the office. You will know that we plan to review a book when you receive a request for a copy to go to a reviewer. And upon publication of the review, you will receive a notice to look up the review online. PermissionsFor each issue, we request publisher’s permission to use the cover of a book as our journal cover for that issue. If you would like us to consider one of your covers, please send our editor the name and email address of the person who handles your permissions. AuthorsWhat if I am an author and want you to review my book? We accept books only from the publisher; please ask them to send us a copy. |
